Massive NNN.ca Drop

16/07/09 1:24 PM

According to theinvestor on DN Forum, at least 245 NNN.ca domains will be dropping next week (most/all on July 22nd). I didn’t count them myself however I did take a quick look and that number seems about right. With only 1000 NNN.ca domains in existence, that’s almost 25% of the NNN.ca market which is dropping next week. Might be worth keeping your eyes peeled if you’re a Canadian domainer.

Someone should contact the owner “Elequa” of FMA. Remember this headline in DNjournal from Feb 2003

“Elequa Makes 3-Letter .Biz And .Info Domains Disappear ”

This guy bought the last remaining 4600 three letter .biz domains. So where are they now??? Maybe he will come to the rescue!

Adam Dicker pulled an “Elequa” for LLL.ca. Perhaps he’ll do the same for NNN.ca…

Reece not being Canadian I have no insight into the nnn.ca market. What do you think ? worth regging ? what is the popularity in Canada ?

    Hi Ray,

I have a bit of experience in the LLL.ca market but am not too sure about the value of NNN.ca. I would imagine a good number combination would be well worth backordering but I’m not sure about the weaker stuff. The fact that people residing outside of Canada without business links are not allowed to register or buy .ca domains has stunted the extension a bit in my opinion, as it’s usage is very widespread here in Canada. I know Adam Dicker had tried to get on the CIRA board a few years back — I could see these being quite good investments if that day ever arrives and the extension opens up to the rest of the world.
